Balance

Second Chances - August 2012

I’m a fairly obsessive person, to say the least. I have a tendency to become consumed by whatever I’m doing. Often, my wife has to remind me of this trait and encourage me to find balance.

"Balance" was inspired by my quest for balance in life. The three legs are symbolic of the three components of our lives: family, work, and play. Individually, they zig and zag: illustrative of the fluctuations we experience in each facet. The legs entwine one other and are linked at each bend by triangles, representing their interconnectedness and symbiosis. The triangles are equilateral because family, work, and play require equal attention; we must maintain a balance between them in order to live a healthy life.
